Czech translation to English

The origin of Czech language, which is included into the Indo-European family of languages, goes back to the 11 or 12 century. This language is one of the most popular linguas of Slavonic languages (namely, western group that also includes Serbian, Polish and Slovak). In a broader outlook it is related to the languages forming the east Slavonic group (Ukrainian, Belarusian, Russian) and the southern Slavonic group (Bulgarian, Macedonian, Slovenian, Serbian, and Croatian).

Unlike languages that are referred to as “analytical”, Czech is included into the group of “synthetic” languages. The difference between these two groups implies that diverse grammatical issues in synthetic languages are revealed in one word only by means of modifying its initial structure. This can be achieved by changing the core of the word or adding a postfix or and ending to it, for example. To gain the same result, analytical languages use adjectives, auxiliary verbs or pronouns without changing the word itself.

Nowadays, over 10 million residents in Czech republic use this language in everyday communication, while more than 200'000 people (primarily emigrants) speak Czech outside the country. The prevailing amount of Czech native speakers currently live in Austria, Slovak Republic, Germany, Poland, Croatia, Ukraine, Canada, Australia and the United States of America.
